Week 9, Day 4

This week you’ll be hearing from Expert Guest Speaker Dr. Kelli Gary on Tuesday.

There are 4 tasks to do today:

  • If you have not yet, please write a thank you message to Dr. Fisher on this document. We would like to send the document out TODAY, as Dr. Fisher spoke last Thursday.

  • If you have not yet, take this poll about your preference in terms of using a photo (with you on it) for general press release.

  • We strongly suggest attending the webinar today (1 pm PST) with Dr. Ann McKee presenting her just-published research on CTE. The webinar is hosted by the Concussion Legacy Foundation. Don’t delay in registering for the webinar, as we’ve seen several webinars fill up.

  • Watch this film Bell Ringer, from 2016. It is 55 minutes. We will have a discussion on Tomorrow (Friday) August 14 from 11-11:40 am

    • “In 2017, Bell Ringer: The Invisible Brain Injury received an Emmy for Best Director and Post Production from the National Academy of TV Arts & Sciences, a Silver Telly Award for Best General Documentary, and a Bronze Telly Award for General Education. For further information, please visit AETN's Bell Ringer: The Invisible Brain Injury.” Quote from PBS Learning Media.

This week:

  • Continue working on your projects.

  • Reminders for those working in Squarespace:

    • Always make sure that you are not making changes to a live page.

    • Squarespace has no version control. If you make changes to a page and then save that change, you cannot get the original version back. This applies to editing from two computers as well; Squarespace also does not support two active editors, so make sure that only one person is editing a page at a time. Squarespace has even had trouble when someone else has the page selected but is not editing, it can be really finicky.
