Week 8, Day 1

Happy Monday everyone and this is the final week of our Concussion Alliance Summer 2022 Internship Program! We all hope that your projects are smoothly transitioning onto the website and beginning the final stages of editing, review and publishing for Thursday and Friday’s Project Showcase! We’re all super proud of all of you and we’re excited to see all your hard work being presented!

This week we’ll be conducting some final exit interviews that include a final internship exit survey. Appointment slot opening can be found in Slack under “General”. This week we will also be having guest speakers Hana Walker-Brown, author of A Delicate Game on Tuesday 8/2 at 1pm PST, 3pm CST, 4pm EST and Dr. Dirk Keene, Kr. Amber Nolan, Linda & Bob Dahl from the University of Washington on Wednesday 8/3 at 12pm PST, 2pm CST, 3pm EST!

Our final A Delicate Game discussion will also be held immediately after Wednesday 8/3 guest speaker discussion at 1pm PST, 3pm CST, 4pm EST. Discussions questions will be posted soon.

Your PM’s will also reach out with each partner project individually to set-up meetings times to check-in and review progress or if there’s any questions before Thursday (8/4) and Friday (8/5)!

Please complete this anonymous Internship Exit Survey before your exit interview. It’s fairly in-depth and comprehensive, so make sure to set aside some time for it.

Here are some reminders for this week’s work:

Projects

  1. All of your work needs to be moved into the project folders (links, outlines, etc.)

  2. Update in the project channel when you have a section of your draft ready for feedback

  3. You should aim to be working on your Squarespace page today – it’s okay if you don’t have a complete draft when you’re moving to Squarespace, but you want to give yourself time to adjust to the website creation process.
