Week 6, Day 4

Welcome to Week 6 of your internship with Concussion Alliance! We are so proud of everyone, all of you have been crushing it! We’re looking forward to seeing you keep it up and continue working on your projects! We hope that this curriculum load continues to suit you well.

We will be having project draft review meetings with Conor, Malayka, Kira, PMs, and project partners on Wednesday and Thursday this week. The link to sign up is here!

We’ll also have one group social activity this week! We have our weekly Social Hour on Friday at 10:00 am PT | 12:00 pm CT | 1:00 pm ET.

Start-of-day Procedure

  1. Check Slack for new messages.

  2. Check the schedule in #weekly-schedules on Slack, on the week page in this portal, or on the shared Google Calendar.

  3. Check the ‘day page’ for tasks & content.

  4. Check your project resource Google doc in your project folder for new resources.

  5. Check in with your PM on Slack.

  6. Check in with your project partner on Slack .


There are Four Tasks to do today:

Curriculum for Today

We’ve provided a group of educational resources below. We’ve listed them in an order that we hope will build on your understanding of concussions as you go through them.

Unit 2: Skills for Developing Your Resource Page (~40 min)

  • Look at these resources on Squarespace

    • Read page to understand how to build your page and build content  (~5 min)  Pages and content basics, (you can watch the video if you would like)

    • Read page to understand images (~10 min)  All about images (again you can watch the videos if you find them helpful)

  • Look at this overview video on Canva: Create social media posts and stories(~23 min)

Unit 4: Stanford Writing Course

  • Stanford Writing Course Week 6: Reviews, Commentaries, and Opinion Pieces & the Publication Process

    • Do this at your own pace throughout the week, each lesson is separate (~2 hrs)
