Week 3, Day 4

Welcome to week 3 of your internship with Concussion Alliance! All of you have been crushing it. This week, you will start making a game plan for your projects and try to meet with your mentors! We hope that this curriculum load continues to suit you well.

We have one group social activity this week! We have our weekly Social Hour on Friday at 10:00 am PT | 12:00 pm CT | 1:00 pm ET.

Start-of-day Procedure

  1. Check Slack for new messages.

  2. Check the schedule in #weekly-schedules on Slack, on the week page in this portal, or on the shared Google Calendar.

  3. Check the ‘day page’ for tasks & content.

  4. Check your project resource Google doc in your project folder for new resources.

  5. Check in with your PM on Slack.

  6. Check in with your project partner on Slack .


There are three Tasks to do today:

  • Thank you to Dr. Reed

    • Please write a note to Dr. Reed thanking him for speaking on Tuesday. As part of showing professionalism and respect to our speakers for taking time out of their schedules to talk to us, we try to send these thank you notes back within 2 business days of their talk. You can write your note here.

  • Thank you to Kim Nemi

    • Please write a note to Kim Nemi thanking her for speaking yesterday.   • Continue working on your Stage 2 (research and information gathering) with your partner. Find your templates in your project folder. Ensure you are working on the existing docs in your folder.

    • Start preparing questions for your mentors! You will hopefully be meeting with them in the next week or so

  • Stanford Writing Course Unit/Week 3: Crafting Better Sentences and Paragraphs

    • Do this at your own pace throughout the week, each lesson is separate (~2.5 hours total)
