Week 2, Day 2
Welcome to Week 2! While we’ll still be bringing you educational materials and resources so you can continue to learn about mTBI, this week we’ll be transitioning to content creation. On Monday you’ll begin writing your first Newsletter synopses. As you finish your Newsletter work, we’ll be transitioning to your first projects, meeting with Eloïse and Conor individually to get started.
There is one task to do today:
Please express your gratitude to Eve Valera for participating in our Guest Speaker series and for her informative presentation. You should add a message to the following Google document. It will be sent out on Wednesday morning.
Educational Resources - Video, Presentation, Short Articles, Treatment Pages
Today will focus on the rehabilitation module. We will have you watch a short video that depicts Kathryn Schneider’s work on cervical and vestibular rehabilitation. You will then watch a video presentation by a specialist in Neurologic Physical Therapy from the 2019 Sports Concussion Summit. Then you will shift over to reading a number of pages both from the Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation Association and from Concussion Alliance. These will deepen your understanding of visual impairment as a result of concussions while providing information about treatment options and therapies.
