Week 10, Day 1

Welcome to the final week of your internship! You’ll be hearing from rehab specialist Rua Gilna, writing your final newsletter, finishing up your projects, and presenting your work to each other and the CA community in our final End-of-Internship Showcase! Congratulations!

There are 4 tasks to do today:

• If you have not yet, take this poll about your preference in terms of using a photo (with you on it) for general press release.

• Prepare for Rua Gilna’s talk today at 1pm.

  • Read this article that Rua sent us: PRI - An Evidence Based Approach.

  • His website has a written section about rehabilitation.

  • Read Rua’s bio on our website.

• Select two synopses for the newsletter. It’s not required, but if you’d like to write a third you can do so.

  • Reminders for writing the newsletter:

    • Make sure to write your name in red on the final document under the topic that you choose, and check the final doc before you choose a topic to make sure it hasn’t already been claimed.

    • We’d like you to get your synopses in by 5pm PST tomorrow (tuesday)

This week:

• Continue working on your projects.

• Reminders for those working in Squarespace:

  • Always make sure that you are not making changes to a live page.

  • Squarespace has no version control. If you make changes to a page and then save that change, you cannot get the original version back. This applies to editing from two computers as well; Squarespace also does not support two active editors, so make sure that only one person is editing a page at a time. Squarespace has even had trouble when someone else has the page selected but is not editing, it can be really finicky.
