Week 2, Day 1

Welcome to week 2! We hope everyone had a relaxing weekend and found some time to spend with their families and friends. Thank you all so much for being so awesome last week. This week will be a little more project focused as we begin approaching some of the deadlines we set last week.

We will be having Expert Guest Speaker, Kam Gardner today at 11:00 am PST | 1 pm CST | 2 pm EST. Kam has proudly been a speech language pathologist for 20 years. Kam has worked in an acute inpatient rehabilitation in Northern California after completing her internship 2001. Currently, Kam treats outpatients who have cognitive impairments secondary to a brain injury, cerebral vascular accident, neurosurgery or a neurological disease. Here is a link to her bio.

Tomorrow we will have our discussion on League of Denial at 10:00 am PT | 12:00 pm CT | 1:00 pm ET, so please make sure to have watched that. We will then have a subcohort check-in meeting on Wednesday at 10:00 am PT | 12:00 pm CT | 1:00 pm ET.

Our second Expert Guest Speaker of the week will be Dr. Elizabeth Sandel on Friday at 10:00 am PT | 12:00 pm CT | 1:00 pm ET. Dr. Sandel is a Clinical Professor in the Department of PM&R at the University of California Davis School of Medicine. She is also the author of the book we have been reading: Shaken Brain. On Friday we will be having a Squarespace Tutorial at 10:00 am PT | 12:00 pm CT | 1:00 pm ET where we will learn how to work with the Concussion Alliance website. We’ll once again end the week with a social hour at 12:00 pm PT | 2:00 pm CT | 3:00 pm ET.
